As a little girl, I was fascinated by the way the trees looked right before the sun finished tucking itself under the blanket of the horizon. It was the lack of light that drew my focus to the leaves and branches of the trees. I found the details beautiful and used my Canon point and shoot to keep the memory of this beauty alive.

As I grew older, the lack of light in those around me drew my focus and I just wanted to understand what I was seeing. I began to learn how to communicate with people and ask the hard, sometimes uncomfortable, questions to gain some insight. I discovered that compassion always illuminates the dark spaces and paints a picture that not everyone has an eye for. That's when I discovered the need for hope in our community and those surrounding it.

Hope is the difference between victory and defeat. In life and business, I search for ways to generously inspire it with my speech, resources, and the few talents that have made my life interesting these past thirty-one years. A Little Light is here to celebrate your victories in choosing life every day and capture the gratitude of who is in your corner cheering you on. I want to be one of those people!
